A Very Welcome Change of Pace

For almost two weeks, until last Thursday, John was in London and Hong Kong for work. I know. Awesome, right? I encouraged him to take our good, compact camera. I’ve been to London, but never to Hong Kong, and really had no idea what it looked like.

Unfortunately, the one day he had to explore was described by one of his colleagues as the foggiest day in the fourteen years he’d lived there. Which means John came home with photos like this:

I took almost no pictures of Jacob, because he got upset when I tried to use a different camera. Trying to figure out a digital SLR scares me a little, too, but it was just too much for Jacob.

The double good news is that John’s home now, and we took pictures this weekend! I’ve always known New Yorkers to be resourceful, but I didn’t realize we could have this much fun with only three inches of snow.

  1. Kristin says:

I love love love Jacob’s penguin hat and also think he looks especially adorable in the picture of the other hat with John.

Additionally, you and your family have been in my prayers this week — I hope you are feeling the warm thoughts coming from Boston. Much love.
