Everyone knows that parents rarely take as many photos of subsequent children as they do of their first. In the past three months, we have proven this hypothesis true. Turns out, it’s not only that you have less time to take pictures, but your oldest child—the one with the ability to speak/demand things of you (with a please, of course)—will commandeer your composition every chance he gets.
My goal of taking a photo of Henry every day of his first year, as I did for Jacob, is helping a good deal, but I’m not going to have a full 365 photos at the end of this year. I’m okay with that. This time around, it’s about quality, not quantity.
