Here you'll find current musings, as well as the archives from two blogs of yesteryear: YoungMarriedMom and What I Learned While Writing a Novel. Please comment and share. We love well when we are in conversation with one another.

A New Chapter

Today I officially launch a new chapter on this blog of blogs! High five, friends!

Many of you who know my writing from my book, Verily, or CatholicMom.com may not have read my first forays into published work, and I’m so excited to share them with you now. Here you’ll find the archives of Young Married Mom, a blog I wrote from 2010-2014, which was my first effort to write regularly and put my work out into the world. Lots of great Jacob and Henry stories and pictures in there, as well as all of the posts through which I processed losing Ethan. I pray these posts in particular may offer hope and comfort to anyone who needs them.

On a lighter note, be sure not to miss Jacob singing “Don’t Stop Believing'”–I still consider this one of the triumphs of my parenting.

When I stopped writing YMM, I didn’t know what would come of it, but I knew I didn’t want to lose it. So for five years (!) I’ve maintained YoungMarriedMom.com. Today, this work is combined into the other projects God has led me to–writing, speaking, podcasting–and I am in awe of His provision for me as I see it all come together. God is so good.

Here you’ll also find the archives of my craft blog, What I Learned While Writing a Novel (please excuse any technical issues in the next day or so; it’s coming!). I did some great interviews with publishing professionals who had also published their own novels, so please check those out too!

My hope is that this post is the first in a new phase of blogging, starting nearly a decade after I hit publish on my first post. Amazing.

So what is this blog going to be? I’m still figuring that out. I have no intention of leaving the incredible dream-come-true opportunities to write in other spaces online, but I am excited to have my own space again. Would you mind dropping me a comment to let me know you’re here and what you’d like to see? Faith? Musings? Book reviews? Journal-style posts? Podcast info?

In the meantime, please be sure you’re signed up for my email list (and get your free print-and-share daily affirmation cards!).

Thanks for stopping by! More soon!
